Bernie Baxter Closed for 2021
Fans and friends,
With a heavy heart, we must announce that we’ve made the difficult decision to remain closed for the 2021 season.
With the current state of COVID and city regulations, we do not see a path forward to open both safely and legally. We pride ourselves on our exemplar safety record and would rather remain closed than risk harm to those who visit us.
No one is more aware than us that it has been three years since we’ve been open. It hurts us to have had a haunt ready to go since 2019 and not be able to show it off. We are looking forward to an amazing 2022.
That said, we are currently working on a brand-new yard display and this one will be different. If all goes according to plan, it will be one that you can walk around and see from multiple angles.
We will also have socially-distanced trick or treating Halloween night and will keep working to hone and improve the haunt in the meantime. So please, if you haven’t done so, get vaccinated.
Being closed sucks, but COVID sucks much worse. Let’s make COVID a thing of the past and give Bernie a bright future.
In the meantime, take a moment and follow us on our Facebook page for the latest information about what is going on with Bernie Baxter!
Previous Year’s Information
Bernie Baxter’s Traveling Sideshow is a small neighborhood haunt that is also New Orleans’ oldest haunted attraction. Since 2005 we’ve been scaring the city into a stupor and this year will be no exception.
Planning on stopping by? Here’s what you need to know…
October 26 (Friday), 27 (Saturday) and 31 (Halloween). Doors open at 7 PM and stay open until 10 PM or until the last visitor leaves.
However, our yard display is up for the entire month of October so feel free to drive by after dusk to see what ghouls are guarding the house this year!
You can find us at 44 Vivian Ct. New Orleans, LA 70131. We are located in Algiers, just a short drive from the Crescent City Connection. Map and directions below.
We are a FREE attraction though we gladly accept donations. You can donate in person at the donation box or online.
